Where can I get less expensive camera lenses?

I have a M42 mount film camera, and I was wondering where I can get some cheap(ish?) lenses.
I’ve been searching eBay for days, and haven’t been coming up with much. I’m pretty much broke, and I don’t feel like spending more than $10 for a lens. I know it sounds ridiculous, but I have seen some cheap ones, they just don’t fit my camera, and the lens adapters are even more costly.
I’ve check the local pawn shops and thrift stores too, but turned out empty handed. I didn’t bother with Craigslist because it makes my head hurt.

Am I missing anything else?
I know I’m being unrealistic, it’s just I don’t have the money. I was hoping some idiot on ebay would list a lens really cheap, but I guess I’m just going to have to save up some more money and/or wait for said idiot.

I don’t think you are being very realistic in wanting a good lens for only $10. If I had a good one, I’d certainly want more than that. If you should happen to find one for that price it will probably have scratches on the glass or be broken in some way. But good luck. You may have to take a pain pill and tackle Craigslist!
