Can I mix and match flannel with 100% cotton fabrics in making a rag quilt? Flannel “backs” or true mix/match?

Yes you can.

Mix it up however you wish.

Flannel can shrink a good bit.

Test if you do not want to pre-wash before cutting; cut a 1″ square of the flannel. Wash, dry and measure again.

If it shrinks, you need to do a light pre wash and dry before you measure and cut for the quilt.
